Just image: You come to office in the morning, take a sip of your coffee,
Sounds great, doesn’t it? For most of us, this isn’t reality.
With Neo, however, it might be: What has been exclusively reserved for board members and executives in the form of a “human” assistant, will be accessible to all employees in similar ways – thanks to artificial intelligence: Neo, your personal, digital assistant, with whom you can communicate as if he were a human being.
“Neo” is a self-learning digital assistant that can be of help in a variety of fields. Neo coordinates information and data between humans and systems simply and efficiently in order to take human-technology collaboration to a new level. The employee can interact with Neo via a conversational interface (e.g. text or voice). In the B2B-context, Neo will be what Alexa, Siri
N for Neo
We named our digital AI-assistant “Neo“. “Neo” is an acronym for “Neo-Enterprise-Orchestrator”. Neo is ancient Greek and translates to “new”, “fresh”, “young”, but also “unusual”, and “revolutionary”. In order to express the novelty of our assistant, we wanted to keep the name both concise and memorable – and as we are avid fans of The Matrix, the decision was rather quickly: Neo it is.
E for Enterprise
With Neo, we focus on assisting employees within an enterprise context; in their professional environment. This is also where Neo differentiates from other, well-known digital assistants such as Alexa and Siri: Neo is for work. With Neo, interaction with business software solutions turns to one of the most natural things in life: A conversation. Instead of navigating and clicking through various software solutions and menu options, Neo offers a consistent (and coherent) interface that is accessible via text and voice. Simple, fast and straight to the point (like us Germans). 😉
O like orchestrator
An “orchestrator” is – at least in economics – someone who creates added value through coordination of partners. The partners offer services, that are coordinated and combined in a meaningful and value-adding way (see Heuksel, 1999). There are similar approaches out there, where software acts as an orchestrator via platforms between various software solutions, in order to combine and automate processes and workflows. This is exactly the role which is fulfilled by Neo. Powered by our integration platform, Neo interacts with your software solutions, combines and aggregates them, and thus automates mundane processes and tasks. The primary goal of this approach is not the substitution of existing solutions – it is the value-adding combination of and exchange between existing solutions.
Behind the Neo-scenes
You can think of Neo as Apple’s Siri or Google Assistant, but with a focus on B2B-applications. On the one hand, the assistant understands the challenges in the professional environment and mingles into the corporate ecosystem as well as the tool and software solutions used. On the other hand, Neo offers a user-friendly and multifunctional user interface linking your desktop and mobile devices. Thus, at best, Neo can be able to relieve some of your
Our vision: Neo, the AI-assistant for business
Today’s world is rapidly changing and will change even more: Using software, employees and companies were enabled to work more efficiently. Unfortunately, the sum of software solutions does not hold up to what they individually promised: Instead of helping the employee, employees are stressed and challenged by the ever-increasing flood of information from all their current software solutions.
To counter the problem of information overload, we develop(ed) Neo. Our digital assistant “Neo” acts as a filter to reduce complexity between the entire software solutions and the employee. With the help of a simple, clear and coherent interface, Neo connects the employee with his software solutions.
Neo acts as an orchestrator by pulling the strings behind the scenes. By coordinating and combining relevant systems, tools, and processes through a single interface powered by artificial intelligence, Neo truly is a personal, digital assistant – on its way to revolutionizing business practices sustainably. From complex and lengthy software interactions to a simple question: “What’s my current budget?” – and Neo simply provides the answer.
Utilizing Neo at your workplace
As Neo is able to serve you on a broad set of platforms and devices (i.e. with Windows, Android, iOS, and macOS) and the generic integrational framework in the backend, a digital assistant like Neo can theoretically be used in almost all fields – whether in sales, HR, finance or in quality-assurance and project management. Initially, however, we have to focus on certain business areas in order to get started.
Benefits of using Neo
The potential market for digital assistants is still young and emerging. Well-known assistants such as Siri, Google Assistant and Alexa are targeting private users and household. As of now, the use of digital assistants is still very limited: Users can use their assistants (usually) only on a limited set of devices and operating systems, and are therefore somewhat limited in use. Thus, the possibilities of controlling and querying relevant software solutions via a single assistant are very limited, which makes it difficult to use assistants as day-to-day facilitators in professional life.
These are the aspects we have taken into account with Neo: We offer a service made in Germany, that can be hosted on-premises so that data storage and processing takes place exclusively on our customers’ servers. Thus, sensitive and valuable data remains under the control of our respective customer.
